Destination: Tivoli, Italy - Dover Hall Estate - Alfresco & Fireside Dinner Series

On Thursday, August 18th, Dover Hall Estate hosted our second dinner in our Alfresco & Fireside Dinner Experience. Click here to learn more about our Dinner Experience, or click here to see pictures from Destination: Barcelona, Spain. For this adventure we decided to transport our guests to Tivoli, Italy. We had originally planned to host the dinner out by our pool, but with the heat and Virginia humidity, we decided to move the dinner inside into our grand ballroom.  We put the house under a complete Italian makeover and the ballroom looked absolutely STUNNING.  We hope you enjoy some of these pictures from the night!

While guests were enjoying their welcome drinks, they had the opportunity to learn about and sample cheeses from Dany Schutte, Cheesemonger. Dany is one of the very few people in the country to have the American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional Certification! She is very knowledgable about cheeses and really enjoys educating others.  Dany's station was a HIT doing cocktail hour, and made the foyer smell absolutely delicious.  

We are so excited that our #DHBride, Brittney, got to join our dinner! Brittney will be getting married at Dover Hall in 2017.  We can't wait!

For dessert we had an authentic Italian shaved ice made by Camille Mustachio.  While it was being served she took a moment to explain how she made it, and WOW it takes a lot of work! We are so grateful that she made it because it was phenomenal.  Thank you Camille! 

We never like to go light on the sweets around here, so our guests got to enjoy another dessert once dinner was over! We opened the ballroom doors and invited our guests out to the bluestone terrace where Nick DeLuca had a gelato cart set up. 

The flags and cantina lights transformed the bluestone terrace into an Italian piazza. By this point in the night the weather was perfect for hanging out outside, especially with a gelato in hand! The night was absolutely FABULOUS.  We are really looking forward to our next dinner on October, 13th where we will travel to England!
